If you want to write a letter, there are three templates for this purpose. Templates are stored in /usr/share/lyx/templates and are available to all users of LyX on your PCLinuxOS installation. However, if you want to use one of the templates included with LyX, then hold down both Control and Shift, and then press N. Holding down Control and pressing N will start you with a blank document. LyX comes with some templates that you can use to start a new document, or you can simply start with a blank document. This is what we normally see when we launch LyX (after the first time). This is simpler than TeXmaker in the sense that you are editing the document without having to learn the TeX/LaTeX language. LyX takes a WYSIWYM (that is What You See is What You Mean) approach to typesetting. While TeXmaker is a great editor for typesetting documents, there is another application in the PCLinuxOS repository that takes typesetting to the next level of simplicity. On September 5th of 2022, Lyx have announced Project jBeam, which will bring a new life for the Erövra, featuring a more detailed body, new design elements, and body styles all as a mod for BeamNG.Drive. On March 10th of 2022, Lyx CEO GT2R_S announced the discontinuation of Lyx in a short 10 second video. Lyx would later unveil the Okänt SUV on March 7 of 2021 and the Erövra on August 17 of 2021 at the 2021 Inspiration Auto Show. The concept focused around performance-luxury electric vehicles and on December 7 of 2020, Lyx debuted their first car, the Lyx Framställa Concept. On October 4th of 2020, ex-CEO of Elektrisk, GT2R_S, left as the owner with intentions of starting their own company.
The brand has departed off of Roblox since September 2022 and is currently making a mod for BeamNG.drive.
Lyx is a defunct Swedish automotive marque founded in late 2020 and was formerly a brand under the ownership of Quo.
